Pam lived in seclusion outside Asheville, NC on the side of a mountain in a house she and Fatty purchased on Ebay. A renewal that she thought would last for six months moved into seven years. The silence, peace, no pace and beauty of her mountain cove retreat inspired her to begin the band Chakra Bird.
Fatty brought in River Guerguerian on drums and they started playing as a trio at the artist hub The Bobo Gallery in downtown Asheville. They recorded the EP Wilderness of Listening and made videos for each song.
For the next album, Pam was ready to take the samples she had been collecting all her adult life and create songs from them. Fatty opened his vast library of beats and Pam created the tracks from there. From this the album Night Blooming Bird was made.
The Summer of 2022 brings back Chakra Bird. A trio with Fatty and Alex Travers on violin.
